BENEFITS SPECIALIST – NW DC – UP TO $72K
Ajilon is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist for a large Foundation in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has five or more years’ experience in employee benefits principles, practices, procedures and documentation. There will be preference given if the previous work experience includes non-profits and, in a service-focused environment. A degree in Human Resources, Business or other relevant area is required. This job directly reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Coordinate and administer all activities pertaining to employee benefit programs
Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of benefits programs and roll them out to the team
Maintain employee benefits data in HRIS
Prepare and review benefit invoices; review document discrepancies, resolve discrepancies with vendors; process and reconcile monthly and quarterly invoices
Work with the HR team with hiring, onboarding and ensuring proper procedures are followed with candidates and new hires
Ensure payroll is accurate and timely
Degree in HR, Business or other relevant area
Five or more years’ experience in employee benefits principles, practices, procedures and documentation
Program management a plus!
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; focus on Excel
UltiPro is preferred
Knowledge of contemporary principles of HR Management and best practices, employment and benefit laws
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Able to collaborate with a team
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation
Yearly compensation can be up to $72,000.
