Ajilon is seeking a temp to hire Benefits Analyst to work for a global consulting firm in the DMV area. As a key part of the human resources team you will be responsible for the oversight of a full range of administrative and operational duties. In this role you will coordinate with benefit vendor parties, develop and execute employee communications in conjunction with vendor partners and consultants, and ensure compliance with all company benefit plan documents and contracts, as well as company policies and procedures related to benefit plan offerings. Strong communication skills are a key component to your success as the role requires daily interaction with employees, stakeholders, and partners.


Benefits Administration:

  • Handling all leave administration
  • Responding to employee inquiries
  • Reporting and pulling data in Excel
  • Administration of all benefits plans to include data coordination and quality checks and corrections
  • Contribute to the execution of the annual open enrollment process
  • As needed, advise on approvals of necessary documents related to qualified status changes initiated by employees which have been provided to the Global HR Service Center for review
  • Perform audits, as needed, on employee benefit premium payroll deductions
  • Monitor 401(k) employee eligibility status for potential errors and take corrective action when needed
  • Provide the necessary data reports to assist in sending employee reminder communications (e.g., FSA year-end) or other benefit notifications
  • Handle all accident and death claims, QDROs, QMCSOs, and any other unique claim or distribution arrangement
  • Effectively engage the related vendor partners and their special service teams where applicable.
  • Data Analytics:

  • Build, update and maintain benefit data reports
  • Analyze data for anomalies and trends; take corrective action, as needed
  • Leave Management process and case coordination:

  • Liaison with third party leave administration vendors to maintain U.S. and Canadian leave programs to include disability, maternity leave and parental leave
  • Manage and advise on benefits tracking, time entry and leave payouts. Coordinate with employees and their managers and HR team
  • Policies and Practices Administration:

  • Serve as a resource to Human Resources employees with understanding benefit programs and policies
  • Partner with the Global HR Service Center to provide guidance on escalated benefit questions
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures (SOPs) for assigned benefits processes
  • Special projects as needed:

  • Ad hoc analyses
  • Participate in the development of department goals and objections
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Minimum of 2 years of benefit administration experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Benefits experience
  • Excellent communication skills; strong ability to interact with employees regarding benefits and policy
