A large healthcare company in North Phoenix is looking to add an HR Leave and Benefits Administrator to their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The company has acquired several companies over the last year, is still growing, and needs additional HR personnel to help manage this growth effectively. The incumbent of this role will handle all leave administration functions - FMLA, personal leave, short-term/long-term disability, military and any applicable state required leaved – and will be the point-person for benefits administration. The ideal candidate would have 3 years’ experience with leave/benefits administration and experience with federal and state laws related to leave of absence and ADA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the leave administration functions, which includes FMLA, personal leave, short-term/long-term disability, military, and any applicable state required leaves
  • Educates and assists employees and managers regarding leave inquires
  • Works closely with short-term disability / long-term disability carriers and assist employees with filing claims
  • Partners with the Benefits Manager and in-house counsel
  • Investigates, analyzes, and provides recommendations to improve leave policies. Identifies and proposes solutions to improve inconsistent leave policies and gaps
  • Manages unemployment, completes/files unemployment claims, completes timely claims audits, and tracks the unemployment benefit process
  • First point of contact for any benefits-related questions and in helping onboard new employees with regard to their benefits enrollment
  • Annual open enrollment
  • Assists the Human Resources/Benefits department with projects
  • Performs all other duties as assigned and required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience with leave administration and various leave types – FMLA, ADA, short- and long-term disability and multi-state leave laws
  • 3+ years’ experience in human resources
  • Multi-state experience is preferred

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
