Ajilon is currently seeking a knowledgeable candidate for a benefits specialist opportunity. This position requires experience with PayCom and as well as experience with open enrollment. Our client is a non-profit agency based in South Austin. This will be an onsite, contract position with a duration of 3 months.  

Duration: 3 months


  • Directs medical, dental, vision, life insurance, as well as disability and retirement plans
  • Manages 401k audits and collects documentation
  • Keeps up with benefit eligibility and processes enrollments monthly, as well as special enrollments
  • Leads health benefit orientations monthly
  • Utilizes the HRIS system to set up payroll deductions and contributions for retirement plans and health benefits
  • Aids 401k record keeper on retirement plan eligibility
  • Communicates with participants and vendors on said eligibility
  • Assists with any benefit inquiries through phone, email and HRIS
  • Manages all annual open enrollment activities
  • Coordinates with staff accountants regarding reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices
  • Administers COBRA program for former full-time employees
  • Additional responsibilities as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • 2 years in benefits administration for a mid-sized organization
  • Knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, FFCRA, ERISA, and workers comp
  • College degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Paycom required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service oriented attitude
