Our client is currently seeking a Facilities Technician.  Candidate will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, to prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of the facility and production equipment including but not limited to basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC,  and other maintenance, construction, repairs, or mechanical adjustment work functions to assure the facility is properly maintained with emphasis on health and safety.  Maintain grounds and clear parking lots. Maintain and order supplies and parts as needed.  

1st shift: 7am-3pm


  • Identifies and corrects building and equipment problems by performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to maintain buildings and equipment in safe condition, prevent degradation of Plant property and systems, and prevent failures that would cause reduction in service using hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Repairs, modifies, constructs, fabricates, installs and maintains building structures and equipment, (e.g., roofs, floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, generators, HVAC equipment, compressors, plumbing fixtures and systems etc.) to provide safe conditions for employees, using various hand and power tools (e.g., roto rooter, snakes, welders, oxygen/acetylene torches, volt/ohm meters, ladders, etc.).
  • Replaces or updates inoperable or old building materials and appliances (e.g., motors, belts, pumps, window glass, sinks, sewage pumps, doors, smoke alarms, cabinets, shelves, tile, light fixtures, filter systems, patios etc.) to provide a safe, comfortable working environment for employees using various tools and materials (e.g., welding equipment, ladders, power saws, hammers, drills, etc.).
  • Planning and managing all departmental work including, but not limited to, electrical systems and generators, elevators, fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems and equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing and sewer systems, potable water systems, utilities and utility distribution systems, shift coverage, projects, as assigned, and regulatory compliance
  • Plans and schedules corrective action and preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and maintain operating condition of facilities and equipment using a computer and appropriate forms.
  • Assist with all new equipment installations.
  • Perform various duties, related but not stated, to the maintenance operation as deemed necessary by manager.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively.
  • Plan, lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Qualifications

  • Technical schooling strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Electrical Systems.
  • Computer literate i.e., Microsoft Office.
  • Assist with all reactive/repair maintenance.
  • Ability to read Blueprints, Drawings, and Schematics.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, minimal supervision - self-motivated, job knowledge, productivity conscious.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and be available to work on an on-call basis in the event of emergencies.  
  • Must be able to inspect conditions and work requiring: climbing steps and ladders; exposure to hot, humid, cold and/or wet conditions; vision from close to distant in varying light conditions.
