Seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to identify and manage new manufacturing facilities to help meet growing demand and will be responsible in managing alternative manufacturing plants in Vietnam.  Must be able to identify, negotiate, and then move along production with new factories.

Candidates should have 5+ years of global sourcing experience out of an international organization. Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, critical thinking skills, possess a high level of motivation, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with purchasing & RD team to make sure factories are in a position to manufacture the goods we need in the time frame required.
  • Understand labor rates and raw material costs to better position yourself in a negotiating  environment.
  • Lead and manage annual global cost reduction plans.
  • Execute procurement strategy aligned with business strategies and priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with factory personel at every level. Owner, Sales, QC, GC.
  • As the plant develops and grow in sales, there will be a need to hire locals on the ground to manage our production.
  • Manage the supplier quality audit teams and QC checks.
  • Identify and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities based on a solid understanding of cost drivers and contracts.
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years of global sourcing experience out of an international organization.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Travel

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
  • Skills:

  • Possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be assertive and persuasive.
  • Flexibility to effectively work with others from different cultures, countries, work habits, and management styles.
  • Hardworking, action oriented, and results driven.
  • Demonstrate a roll-up your sleeves mentality to get the job done.
