Head of People
Ajilon is looking for a strong Head of People to join our client in the manufacturing industry. While this is a true Generalist role, the role focuses heavily in employee relations, payroll and benefits administration for the location. Previous knowledge and comfort working closely with unions is imperative for a candidate’s success within this role.
Oversee an team of 8 direct reports
Work alongside the CEO and executive team to bring creative and innovative solutions to the table regarding employee relations and engagement
Support an employee population of 1,000+ in day to day operations including payroll processing
Maintain low turnover rates by strategically partnering with the recruitment team and collaborate on employee retention plans
Monitor the compliance for the company to include but not limited to: Department of Labor requirements (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, ACA, HIPPA, Workers’ Compensation and FLSA)
Coordinate all aspects of Workers’ Compensation including OSHA reporting, investigations, partnering with vendors, leave of absence, coaching managers and injured team members during the workers’ compensation claim process
Ensure data integrity and security of all systems and full understanding of system capabilities within ADP
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or related field preferred
A minimum of 10-15 years working as a VP of HR, Head of HR or similar role
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
Proven leadership and management skills
Impeccable attention to detail necessary
Experience in union relations is required
