Ajilon is seeking an HR Assistant for a client located in Medford, NY in Suffolk County. This position is contract to hire and will report fully onsite. This role will be assisting with administrative tasks in the HR Department, as well as completing other relative duties.
Complete pre-hire employment checks (initiate Good Hire request and monitor for results)
Support the new hire on-boarding process which includes orientation, completion of paperwork and creating HR file.
Support the hire process by posting positions internally and externally, maintain EEO applicant flow logs, coordinate interviews, setup interviews via calendar invite, and others
Conduct I-9 audit and other internal audits on a monthly basis
Maintain calendar for training program and update employee training records
Schedule post-hire medical exams for new employees and update employee records
Assist employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, policies, etc. as needed
Maintenance of employee records, update information in files regularly
Assists with invoicing spreadsheet, sorting mail & reconciling/data entry of temp agency invoices for payment
Assist with Employee Recognition Program and Employee News Letter
Order office supplies as needed
Front Office - back up to answer telephones & greet customers when receptionist is unavailable
Assist with company events, parties, picnics, etc.
Support any other assignments.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development with one (1) year of experience; Associate Degree with three (3) years of experience in the Human Resources field.
Human Resource experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Demonstrated experience handling confidential information.
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and writing
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
