Job Title: HR Specialist – Employee Health

Location: Santa Clarita, CA (ONSITE)

Employment: Contract, full-time

Pay Rate: $29-35 per hour


Job Description:

Ajilon is seeking candidates with at least three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare to fill the role of an HR Specialist - Employee Health for one of our major clients in the Santa Clarita area. The ideal candidate will have background in Human Resources, Occupation Safety and Health, Employee Health, or a related field. Qualified candidates must meet all the minimum requirements listed below.


Job Function:

  • Administers Worker’s Compensation program from start to finish (filing claims, case documentation, interviewing injured workers, working with adjusters, etc.)
  • Completes new-hire screening requirements: coordinates background checks, drug screens, respiratory fit testing, TB testing, and obtains vaccination status (Influenza, Hep B series, MMR series, Varicella series, Covid-19, etc.)
  • Maintains OSHA requirements (e.g., Sharps Safety Log, coordinates follow-up on occupation exposure and injury)
  • Serves as backup for Benefits and LOA administration
  • Participates in committees and meetings regarding employee safety and health

    Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of college coursework in a related field (healthcare administration, human resource management, business administration, occupational health); plenty of relevant work experience in lieu of the education requirement 
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation benefits system, legal and medical terminology as it relates to WC, and all applicable (federal & local), laws, regulations, rules, and guidelines that affect the administration of WC
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and OSHA reporting requirements
  • Proficiency of HRIS and Microsoft Office
