We are currently working with a wonderful furniture company in Thomasville that is looking to add an Import Assistant to their team ASAP! This position will be contract-to-hire and paying $18/hr. on the contract side and $40-45k on the permanent side depending on experience. This will be a 100% onsite position and M-F 8-5. Prior logistics experience is highly preferred, but they are willing to train a can-do attitude and someone that is eager to learn!

Responsibilities: 

  • Providing quotes for customers regarding international shipments
  • Submitting quotes for PO processing once approved
  • Working with design, engineering, sourcing, etc. to communicate proper stage of order
  • Issue PO's
  • Communicate with customer regarding ship/delivery dates and any delays or issues
  • Managing the Masterfile for 3 different company product lines
  • Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
  • Prior logistics/mport/export experience is highly preferred 
  • Administrative experience dealing with shipping/receiving is acceptable
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • *Strong willingness to learn and absorb information from Imports Manager*
