Need an A Strong Admin Asst- That will be working with Hybrid role and in the office 3 and home 2 days.
General Description: Licensing & Credentialing Specialists maintain licensing for all physicians at. They create and carry out various licensing processes in relation to business needs. They ensure that all personnel and services adhere to facility and staff policies, department guidelines, regulations, and government laws. The candidate must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent time management, organizational, written/verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently and to plan and meet multiple short and long-range deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Assist physicians with tracking and reporting CME and stipends for CME
Ability to integrate new responsibilities into current job description when needed.
Assemble and process physician license applications with systematic organization.
Meticulous entry and maintenance of pertinent information for licensure processing and reporting on projects.
Work to proactively meet deadlines and expeditiously escalate if a project appears to be off-track.
Track information related to licensing projects, updating information in a timely fashion and responding to inquiries with speed and professionalism.
Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to resolve issues and conflicts that may arise.
Provide other administrative support as needed.
General office duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, emailing, faxing, making copies, scanning documents, opening and sorting mail, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Receives and processes physician license applications and supporting documents.
Reviews licensure applications and supporting documents for completeness, authenticity and validity; verifies eligibility, then recommends temporary and permanent license application.
Counsels and corresponds with physicians and other organizational stakeholders and others regarding status of applications.
Interprets and applies statutes and rules and regulations as they apply to licensure.
Conducts online background checks.
Enters all application information regarding licensees into the data base.
Manages external communications with licensees and external parties involved in licensing.
Assist the Credentialing Specialist as a back-up to this work.
Keeps updated on medical licensing and certification requirements.
Audits paperwork such as applications and licensing documentation for accuracy.
Understanding current healthcare laws and regulations.
Prefer 1-2 years of physician provider licensing experience
Proficient with Windows Office suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Must be able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-volume environment
Strong customer service orientation and focus
Must be reliable and possess extreme attention to detail and documentation
