Material Planner

Ajilon is working with a manufacturing company in Somerset, NJ that is looking for temporary indefinite Material Planner. This role is on site with full time hours from 8:30AM to 5PM with a 30 minute lunch. The qualified candidate should have at least 3 years of related experience.   • Coordinate with other departments to attain production goals.
  • Offer and track ship dates
  • Resolve capacity issues by prioritizing scheduling
  • Update production tracking and reporting in the database
  • Review and interpret bills of material construction
  • Analyze changing material demand patterns
  • Plan material to attain company metrics such as turns and customer fill rate
  • Communicate with vendors
  • Oversee and improve vendor performance
  • Analyze SAP generated forecasts on reasonableness and accuracy
  • Introduce new products, engineering changes and customer conversions
  • Update vendor purchase order changes
  • Process customer order inquiries, schedule changes and cancellations
  • Determine, research and correct material inventory discrepancies
  • Material Planner Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience or internship in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v look ups, formulas)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
