Medical Billing Assistant

Our client is seeking candidates who have knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10, codes. If you thrive in a growing environment, then this is the perfect job opportunity for you for a well-known company.

Experience: An entry-level role! Recent certified billing/coding highly preferred

-Assist patients with questions about their account balances and payments
-Follow-up with payers directly for payment/claim status
-Post payments to the system associated with patient and insurance carrier's remittance
-Maintaining appropriate and detailed documentation in the database
-Review of medical files and documents for appropriate appeals and negotiations
-Independent Worker that will produce results with little or no supervision
-Navigate insurance websites for claims status, EOBs, and eligibility

-Certification in billing/coding required
-Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10, & HCPCS codes
-Excellent data entry skills using EXCEL
-Proficiency with a 10-key pad at 9000+ kph or equivalent bill processing rate
-Workers’ compensation knowledge is a plus
-Knowledge medical terminology

Compensation: $12.00- $16.00 USD per hour DOE

Position Type: Full-Time - M-F - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (requires some overtime)
