Ajilon is currently sourcing with one of our clients in search of Medical / Record Collector to fulfill their needs, and   contribute to the success of the organizations operations and client relations by ensuring accurate, successful and expeditious record collection efforts of high priority cases, investigating issues that may arise during the course of collection to resolve and/or escalate them appropriately, and providing support with the legal aspects of record collecting.  This is a Temp to Hire position.   

Responsibilities:

  • Record collection coordinating to ensure swift and accurate collection
  • Prioritize work through a queue-based system to ensure timely handling based on department objectives
  • Act as liaison between record providers and Client to facilitate record collection through correspondence as well as heavy telephone contact
  • Handle inquiries from providers on a daily basis via fax, email or telephone 
  • Ensure delivery of quality and accurate status information and other client requested information by documentation of daily work
  • Review, categorize and process legal documents and maintain updated information designated databases
  • Support client case management activity and escalate concerns as needed to the proper departments
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards with authorization assignment and requesting of records
  • Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a call center, customer service or clerical role
  • Medical terminology is a plus
  • 80+ Outbound calls made daily
  • Research experience required
  • Professional written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and make independent decisions
  • Ability to identify legal and medical record components
  • Ability to comply with privacy and security policies and procedures. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet research and basic proficiency in MS Excel
