Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Ajilon is hiring a Part-Time Administrative Assistant right now in Waterford Michigan.  This is an open-ended long-term contract position for a busy railcar company.  Primarily providing administrative support to management, and secondarily providing general office administrative support. As a main point of contact, represents the company and regularly interacts with business partners, and employees. The position always requires professional and courteous conduct, and excellence in customer service delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for the office.
  • Creates and reviews shipping document creation.
  • Prepares reports and shipping invoice preparation.
  • Prepares materials and accommodations for meetings
  • Answers phones and greets guests
  • May coordinate and execute special events for company
  • Responsible for company data management and record keeping systems, electronic and paper
  • Regularly interact with Canada and Mexico-prior international experience a bonus.
  • Deals with confidential and proprietary information on a regular basis and must be able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Professional and courteous demeanor with commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Experience with shipping and customs in Mexico and Canada, helpful
  • Oracle/SAP/Microsoft Office Suite-strong Excel required
  • Experience in team work and team building
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality with proprietary and other information
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative support and office management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Specifics:

  • Long-term open-ended contract position
  • Hours: Flexible but need no less than 20+ hours a week.  Tues, Wed and Thurs are key necessary days.  Office is closed on Friday. Monday is an optional day if needed.  Office opens at 7:30am and closes at 4:30pm.  Flexible on morning start time.
  • Business casual, environment can be dusty.
  • $15-17hr. dependent on experience
