Patient Access Representative – Chicago, IL
Ajilon has partnered with a thriving Medical Center in Chicago that wants to add new members to their team! As a representative of this facility, you will work to ensure all patients have a remarkable experience while communicating with them the special care they will receive. The ideal individual will have at least 1 year of patient access experience and have great communication.
Update patient files including, insurance policy numbers, group number, address, and telephone numbers.
Verbally interview patients and/or family in order to obtain registration information.
Enter patient billing and clinical data.
Identify co-payment procedures and fiscal procedures related to registration procedures.
Complete computer and telephone pre-registrations to maintain patient flow.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
One year of customer service experience in a healthcare or health insurance related field required
Good understanding of MS excel to organize and consolidate data
Ability to communicate and develop strong relationships
Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus!
Hours: Monday – Friday; 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (can possibly fluctuate due to COVID-19)
Dress Code: Business Casual
Contract: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
