Our client over in the East lake Seattle area has reached out because they are in need of a Pension Processor. This is a contract to hire position and they are looking to start someone as soon as the 7th! They will be conducting a one in person interview this week and will be making an offer this week. As a pension claims processor, you will be responsible for the final processing of retirement and death benefit applications for pension trust participants. This includes ensuring the benefit eligibility is correctly determined and calculated according to Trust rules. 

Pay: $20-$22 an hour depending on your experience  
If you have actual experience as a Pension Processor and have more than 2+ years of experience, then you may qualify for up to $25 an hour on pay. 

Job responsibilities: 

  • Process claim applications for various pension plans
  • Review supporting documentation for accuracy
  • Connect with applicants to guide them through the claim process
  • Maintain and follow-up on pending files, as required by guidelines
  • Answer requests for information over the phone, in writing, and in person
  • Successful completion of the training program is required
  • Handle up to 25+ calls daily 

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of Customer service (call center) , account management or Administrative experience 
  • You do not need to have pension processing experience but will qualify for more pay if you have that exact experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in excel, word and outlook
