Prior Authorizations

Our Client in Chandler is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist to join their team. This company is well established and has seen steady growth over the years. In this position you will be responsible for duties such as contacting insurance carrier to verify patients insurance eligibility, request and obtain pre-authorization from insurance carriers, and communicate any insurance changes or trends among the team. This role would be compensated $16 to $18 an hour depending on experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years’ experience with Prior Authorizations
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Review procedure requests for authorization needed base upon insurance standards
  • Review documents or contact the provider when necessary to supplement the order to prove medical necessity
  • Submit authorizations with correct CPT and diagnosis codes
  • Cross-reference the procedure tasked against the doctor’s orders to ensure all services are submitted correctly
  • Enter authorization numbers and expiration dates into task messages which are required for corresponding services
  • Addition tasks or projects as needed
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

    Location: Chandler, AZ

    Pay: $16-18 an hour DOE
