Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist Job opportunity in Melville
**IMMEDIATE Start! Full Time Hours. Option to work remote and half in the office**

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic candidate to fill our Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist job! Responsibilities:

  1. Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Conduct prescreening interviews.
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Handle reference and background checks for potential employees.
  • Prepare and send offer letters.
    1. Lead recruiting initiatives and interviewing plans for each open position.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to formulate plan for open positions.
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
    1. Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.
    1. Utilize Internet forums for recruitment.
  • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
  • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
    1. Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
    2. Use social media to identify and source candidates.
    1. Create and update job descriptions
    2. Implement and maintain HRIS system to Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data
    3. Create and prepare new employee orientation packages.
  • Provide new hires with training schedules
  • Initiate Helpdesk tickets to IT to ensure onboarding needs of incoming staff are defined and equipment needed is provided upon the start date.
  • Confirms eligibility to work within the U.S., via E-Verify
  •  

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must have 4+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruitement
  • Must have a demonstrated background in talent management; as well as have a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate high performance teams.
  • Excellent P.C. Skills i.e. Microsoft Office (accuracy a must).
  • Works effectively with all management levels and staff members. Ability to effectively present information to staff members, public groups and/or executive management.
  • Must have strong organizational skills
