Ajilon is currently looking for a Recruiter with a Human Resources or Business Administrative background. This is a great remote contract to hire opportunity in Richmond, Virginia.

Drive full cycle recruiting including generating and qualifying new jobs, screening, conducting interviews, making offers, and ensuring a smooth transition to the pre-employment requirement and onboarding process.
Conduct thorough intake meetings with hiring manager prior to posting positions to understand appropriate posting titles, expected hiring salary ranges, key qualifications, sourcing suggestions and other necessary information
Proactively network to source and qualify candidates through relevant social media outlets, referrals, external associations, and industry networks
Identify and attend job fairs. Place marketing materials into communities where talent is available
Informs candidates of necessary pre-employment requirements needed if offer stage is reached, including but not limited to reference checks, employment verifications, physician examinations, criminal background checks, offender registry checks, vaccination and driving records to ensure candidate can achieve satisfactory results prior to first day of employment
Offers position to candidate following Hiring Manager final selection and provides formal offer letter to candidate
Coordinate scheduling of first-day orientation for all newly hired employees, ensuring that offer letter and appropriate paperwork is received and reviewed for completion and accuracy
Assist in negotiating salaries
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field, and one year of related experience, or 2-5 years of related experience in recruiting
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking system experience and demonstrated proficiency in using technology tools to enhance the candidate and manager experience as well as to enable accurate and timely recruitment records maintenance
Ability to travel to multiple locations within the organization during the workday for meetings, interviews, and other commitments
Must have current knowledge of all hiring practices and maintain knowledge of hiring practices to ensure compliance
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service related skills
Must have the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization relative to hiring activities
Must have the ability to work independently
