This Sr HR Generalist will support a large part of the employee base, partner closely with management in the field, and ensure HR company compliance. Senior Human Resources Generalist, Employee Relations Responsibilities:

  • Recommend solutions using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and/or employment law
  • Respond to and investigate any formal employee or external party matters, including company integrity hotline
  • Lead internal investigations in compliance and employee related matters, recommend solutions or actions, and assist of facilitation of resolution of the issue
  • Assists in handling employee relations, progressive discipline, and performance management processes
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Conducts exit interviews in absence of supervisor
  • As part of this process, conduct interviews, gather evidence, and produce reports or other documentation in response to the claim
  • Conducts a variety of audits to manage federal and multi-state compliance
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations by monitoring I9 Forms and E-Verify program regularly
  • Carry out employee relations matters, including manager coaching, documentation, disciplinary action, investigations
  • Assists managers in response to unemployment claims
  • Collaborates with recruiters and leaders for succession planning, career development discussions and performance reviews
  • Consults with management team to analyze and assess employee needs, develops and implements appropriate action plans
  • Take on human resources and business initiatives through partnering with management

Senior Human Resources Generalist, Employee Relations Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of Human Resources experience, 3 or more years in a heavy employee relations position
  • High level of proficiency in leading employee relations investigations
  • Human Resources experience in a restaurant, retail or hospitality industry, or similar fast-paced environment required
  • Experience with multi-state employment law preferred, knowledge of California employment law REQUIRED
  • Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great communications skills, written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications a plus
