       Are you a supply chain professional who enjoys communicating with vendors as well as working cross-functionally with sales, logistics and engineering? Do you have great follow-up skills that allow for you to track a variety of parts? Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Planner in the Denver Metro Area. The ideal candidate possesses 3 or more years’ experience in forecasting and parts planning, strong MS Excel and ERP skills, worked with international vendors and has a Bachelor’s Degree.  The company has been around for over 70 years, is stable, has a recognizable and innovative product, and offers a strong benefits and compensation package!

 

 

Supply Chain Planner Responsibilities:  

  • Create orders and communicate with vendors through use of ERP and Excel to assess product needs, customer timelines
  • Coordinate with customer service, sales and buyers to ensure timely deliveries to meet customer and forecast demand
  • Schedule supplier and vendor deliveries based on customer orders and changing customer needs
  • Track and report product delivery issues and lead-times for materials
  • Research and analyze current price trends, market conditions, tariffs
  • Coordinate inventory levels with warehouse team and ensure ERP system reflects proper levels and max/min quantities set up
  • Communicate with sales and customer service on factors affecting materials and items ordered, respective of timelines
  • Collaborate with supply chain, engineering and sales teams on engineering changes, quality issues, and delayed deliveries
  • Work with suppliers on problem-solving, and negotiating favorable or improved terms
  • Run reports in ERP system to review and improve reporting criteria, setup on items, vendor setup, standard cost, etc.
  • Supply Chain Planner Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in supply chain planning, inventory and logistics planning
  • Purchasing and buying experience preferred  
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience working with Asia vendors and 3PLs a plus, shipping by ocean freight a plus
  • Strong MS Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS), ERP system proficiency required
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings, BOMs strongly preferred
  • Strong follow up and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented, and has proven success working with supply chain, engineering, finance and marketing teams
