Our client is a small company, in the North Denver Metro area seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager. The ideal candidate possesses three or more years’ experience in a project coordination or supply chain project type of position, has managed multiple product development initiatives, and has worked in the food or consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.   Supply Chain Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate existing and new projects from start to finish within the companies and with external co-packers
  • Partner with multiple departments, including operations, quality, R&D, accounting to meet project deadlines
  • Support and lead all product development efforts
  • Manage new projects from research and development, to completion to commercialization
  • Maintain product specifications and nutritional sheets
  • Maintain strong working relationships with co-packers 
  • Actively search for alternative suppliers to reduce cost
  • Prepare new customer, suppliers and distributor paperwork
  • Manage product discontinuations, and handling internal inventory
  • Provide regular status reporting for all operations and development projects
  • Set-up and maintain product customer database
  • Prepare product cost review and improvement plan with procurement
  • Partner with warehouse on maintenance and facility contracts  

Supply Chain Project Manager Qualifications:

 

  • 3 or more years in project coordination or project management, balancing multiple smaller projects simultaneously
  • Experience in food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a similar industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and partner well with others  
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with operations, accounting and marketing teams  
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with competing timelines
