Technical Writer

Ajilon is seeking to fill a temporary, full time Technical Writer position in St. Louis, MO. This contract requires an individual with at least 5 years of experience in writing processes, procedures, policies, and other documentation in support of organizational maturity.   • Conduct research and develop curated Knowledge Base Articles and other detailed tools and information to support leaders to strengthen fundamental business practices
  • Support employees to develop and improve their capabilities
  • Promote consistent formatting look and feel
  • Seek opportunities to better connect messaging to audience wants and needs
  • Experience

  • Translating requirements from internationally recognized quality standards into guidance for organizations to be compliant with those standards
  • Developing reusable templates and other tools in support of organizational maturity and efficiency
  • Developing user friendly training materials in multiple formats, including web-based
  • Peer reviewing others’ work for clarity, quality, and consistency to desired format
  • Healthcare Payer experience, preferred
  • Familiarity with/exposure to major quality standards (i.e. CMMI, ISO, Baldrige, ITIL), required
  • 2+ years of experience in writing/storyboarding user-friendly training materials, preferred
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing related to process development
  • Certification preferred: ASQ, STC, CMMI, Institute, PMI, Prosci, ISO
  • Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to curate research into well-organized, logically presented reference documents
  • Ability to work independently to produce complete, high quality deliverables timely
  • Ability to empathize with audience and consider/incorporate their point of view
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Visio, required
  • Proficiency with one or more eLearning tools, required. Rise 360 preferred, but not required.
  • Work Type: Contract, Full Time, Monday thru Friday

                  Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
