Medical Administrative Assistant

 

Ajilon is partnering with a renowned healthcare company to fill a Medical Administrative Assistant position for their call center in Kearny Mesa, CA. In this role, you will be providing administrative support to department managers or staff, such as word-processing, maintaining calendars, compiling reports, filing & answering telephones, and accurately entering data into the database. In this role, you will work independently to meet deadlines in accordance with established guidelines & procedures.

 

This is a contract role starting as soon as November 19, 2019 that will last until February 28, 2020. This position offers an hourly pay of $18. If you are looking for an opportunity to expand your skill set and gain experience with a large healthcare organization, apply now!

 

Essential Functions:

  • Uses a variety of word-processing software to type letters, reports & presentation materials.
  • May compose correspondence on own initiative for supervisors review.
  • May include confidential information.
  • Maintains established databases, generates reports from such data.
  • May create simple spreadsheets/graphs using departmental software.
  • Answers telephone inquiries, takes & relays messages & greets visitors.
  • Establishes/maintains departmental filing system.
  • Sorts & routes department mail.
  • May take/transcribe dictation, either manually or by machine, into appropriate format correcting grammar, spelling, etc.
  • May take minutes at a variety of meetings; distribute agenda & follow-up materials.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills, Intermediate Excel skills (basic formulas, reports, pivot tables), Intermediate MS Word, data entry, HTML experience a plus
  • Intermediate arithmetic, reading and writing skills.
  • Strong customer service skills required to communicate with members, department clients and staff.
  • Detail oriented

 

Compensation:

$18 hourly

 

Schedule: 

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Duration: November 19, 2019 until February 28, 2020.
